My reading bucket list this year

My favourite is probably the first one: it is written by a young Australian woman able to articulate for others what is it to suffer from chronic pain in our Western societies, her dealings with the medical system, and how her condition has changed her as a person.

Affairs: 'it was fun ... at the time (only)'. Interesting read about all mechanisms at play.

Top pick from West End bookshop - a must read about who is attracted by power,
how it corrupts many, and quoting
'If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invente him' (Voltaire)
 since 'watched people behave better'.
The emphasis is watching at the top, since this is where most of the damage is done and trickles down while what happens is mostly the opposite. Tools towards better societies where leaders would be called for their qualities, rather than often being self seeking and appointed which attracts the wrong kind.

A great account of what it is to live with Covid-19 in London with a young family for an intrepid journalist I admire a lot - also, great insights on modern fatherhood.
