My CargoWise Adventure
Two more weeks of proof reading and ediEnterprise-FR is going live. This would have taken 7 months, 230 000 words (about 800 pages) to translate, a team support, and internal crush courses in Logistics/Import/Export and Accounting to get there. And here it is ... and it is quite special to interact with such a software 'as if speaking to oneself'
CargoWise is a SaaS Company, meaning Sales of software as a Service company. It starts with what Customers and Product managers say they require. They are being LISTENED TO. This is how the building process start. Once it has been imagined, a team of company software developpers take a Productcentric View, keeping in mind reusability. After that, a functional review follows - answering the question 'Does it work in the real world ?'
CargoWise started in 2004 privately, has now 200+ employees, 10 offices worldwide, 65 000 users, 3500 sites, integrated customs in 8 countries. Head quarters are in Alexandria, a suburb of Sydney not far from Coogee beach. CargoWise customers are TNT Express, Woolworth, Coles, Qantas Airways, Australia Post, China Shipping, Mainfreight International etc..
Supply Chain Cycle CargoWise motto is 'There is power in numbers'. They refer to the brain power of their 100 highly skilled software engineers and developers As a translator, one could also say: |
